Zagyoga Iyengar Studio will close for regular classes from Saturday 21st July to Sunday 10th September. See events for August classes.

A card for 8 classes has an expiry date of 10 weeks and a card for 4 classes, has an expiry date of 5 weeks (This does not apply to Introductory courses where you are expected to attend all classes in the course). The expiry date can not be extended, so to avoid disappointment, please look at your diary carefully before purchasing a card or buy drop in sessions. Concessions for students up to 26 years old and unemployed available at £7.00.

INTRODUCTORY– The introductory yoga classes introduces beginning students to the concept of Iyengar yoga, alignment, precision in posture, extension, stability and internal observation. Standing poses are introduced as well as seated and the preparations for future inversions. This class is also ideal for those with previous yoga experience who are new to the Iyengar method, or who are in search of a “refresher” course. Discover

BEGINNERS I – Beginners 1 yoga classes are suitable for beginners as well as for people with previous yoga experience. This class is a follow up from the introductory course, deepening the understanding of the poses already learned and introducing new ones such as backbends, forward bends and inversions. Focus, balance and energise.

BEGINNERS 2  – Beginners 2 yoga classes are for those with experience in the basic Iyengar Yoga poses and Salamba Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand). Sirsasana (Headstand) will be introduced. Explore and progress.

EASY & GENTLE– This is a mixed ability yoga class in a supportive environment, for those who would like a more slower and gentle pace. Reinvigorate and renew.

INTERMEDIATE I–  Intermediate yoga classes are for students that are practiced in the standing poses, confident with Shoulderstand and familiar with the basics of Headstand. New poses and new inversions are introduced as well as the art of Pranayama. Refine and challenge. 

SUNDAY WORKSHOPS– 10.00 to 12.30pm. These 2 1/2 hour yoga classes take place one Sunday of every month and are for those of you who would like to tackle more advanced asanas and finer instructions within a longer session. Please book in advance. Start time 10.00am. Recap and apply.
